The kitchens of ESF are semi-automated as per the norms of Government Departments. In these semi-automated kitchens, modern technology is being used for preparing the food - such as steam boilers, steam steel jackets, pulverizing machines, poori making machines, grinders etc. Every kitchen has well trained staff with all the amenities that include medical, legal, social and recreational benefits.
ESF believes that if a hungry person gets access to food, he / she can get a chance to stand on his feet and become independent, leading a healthy life. To achieve this, we started our Child Nutrition Program in 2003 by providing mid-day meals to 18000 children in Delhi & Bihar. Over the past 15 years, the constant support from the Government of India, various State Governments and associated organizations has enabled the Program to grow by leaps and bounds. Today, this organization feeds mid-day meals to approximately 6 Lakhs school children & ICDS centre in Delhi. The organization currently has its presence in 2 states with 15 centralized kitchens. Each activity under MDM is organized and roles and responsibilities are clearly defined. There is absolute order without any chaos or confusion at any stage of management.
